Today is my Mom's birthday!  She reads my blog every single day (I swear 99% of the time that I look at her computer this website is up.)   Here are some photos of her!  (Haha don't worry mom, they are all old!)

Every three minutes someone in the world reports a UFO.

I received my book for the Sketchbook Tour today!  I'm pumped.  I mean, I have NO idea what I'm going to put in it, but it's exciting!  Hahaha.  If you haven't heard of it or checked it out, you should.  They send you a Moleskine and you get to choose a theme (I picked "Things Found on Restaurant Napkins") and you fill out this entire notebook with WHATEVER you want.  You can do pretty much whatever you want with it, you just have to make sure it's postmarked by January 15th, 2011.  Then the book will be put in the Brooklyn Art Library for a bit, then go to the Austin Museum of Art for SXSW, then the SPACE Gallery in Maine, the Granite Room in Atlanta, Transformer Gallery in Washington DC, somewhere in Chicago, Form/Space Atelier in Seattle, 111 Minna Gallery in San Francisco, and then Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida.  (What a run-on-sentence... haha.) Then it will be sent back to the Brooklyn Library forever?  I think.  I don't know.  But the point is, it's AWESOME.  You should definitely sign up.  It's 25$, but it's so awesome.  I mean, you get a book that YOU created in a library for the world to check out!  It's AWESOME.  I kind of wish that the tour was coming to a place closer to me than Brooklyn or Chicago... like, TORONTO... but I guess I'll just have to take a trip there to see it.  Haha!  I just think it's so cool, and every time that someone checks out your book, you get a notification.  I think it's awesome.  Haha.  I still have no idea what I'm going to do with the book, but I've got a few months to work on it!  Any suggestions?  What is the weirdest thing YOU have found on a restaurant napkin?  Haha. I think I may change the topic a BIT... and go for more weird things found on restaurant tables, or something like that.  I don't know.  We'll see.

HEY!  So, I did manage to go apple picking on Sunday with Keith (and he had fun!  Haha.), and I've got a ton of photos from it, I just need to upload them.  And then I'm going to make apple pie and apple crisp, and I found a recipe for apple muffins (well, they were called apple cupcakes).  Do you guys have any recipes that you have tried before and love?  Let me know, please!!  I'm not going to make it until probably this weekend, because we're getting a new stove and fridge sometime this week.  Oh and a pipe burst in our house on Saturday, and it got water all in the walls and the floor, so downstairs everything is torn out and there are all these huge (LOUD) fans drying everything.  So, tonight I'm staying at a hotel, and probably for the next couple nights because these need to be on for a few days.  ANYWAYS, here are some of my recent Etsy favourites!

Today is my Nana's 87th birthday!  Last night we went out to eat with her, and tonight she is coming over for a BBQ.  Here are some photos of her sea-dooing a few weeks ago while I was in Quebec!

The band-aid you can see over her left eye is from where she fell and got five stitches earlier that morning!  If I fell and got five stitches there is no way in hell I would be going sea-dooing later that day, haha.  She is way more tough than I am!

She said next summer she's going tubing!  Last night she was saying how 2010 has been such a great year for her.  She went to Lansing, MI twice to visit her cousins Helen and Scottie (once for Helen's 90th birthday, another just for a visit when we went to Chicago), she went up north to visit her friends in Smith's Falls (and went sea-dooing!), last week her friends took her to Niagara Falls for her birthday to the Skylon Tower, and on Saturday she went to the Blue Jay's game for her friend's 98th birthday!  (One of her best friends is exactly 11 years and 3 days older than her.)  She doesn't read my blog (she doesn't have a computer, or know how to use one.) but that doesn't matter..  HAPPY BIRTHDAY NANA!
