Get a Different Name day!

I like my name, I don't know too many people named Holly (just one, actually!).  I can't really picture me having another name. (Plus it's fun to write.  I like loops.)  When I was little my sister (Sara) wanted her name to be Jewel, ha!  I don't think she ever really listened to Jewel, but she was in love with the name.  She wanted to get a pet cat or pet dog, or anything really, and name it Jewel.  & wanted to be known as Jewel.  ...luckily she grew out of that.  Moorea Seal changed her name from Ashley to Moorea when she was 9.  Here are the ten most popular male & ten most popular female names of 2010:
  1. Aidan/Aiden/Aden
  2. Liam
  3. Noah
  4. Jackson/Jaxon
  5. Ethan
  6. Cayden/Caden/Kayden/Kaden
  7. Mason
  8. Logan
  9. Landon/Landen
  10. Oliver
  1. Sophia/Sofia
  2. Charlotte
  3. Ava
  4. Addison/Addyson
  5. Olivia
  6. Amelia/Emilia
  7. Lily/Lilly
  8. Isabella/Izabella
  9. Chloe/Khloe
  10. Bailey/Baylee

  1. Holly - where do you find all these crazy holidays? Do you have a calendar posted somewhere of the ones you will celebrate and post about? I'd love to celebrate some myself!!

  2. haha I definitely went through that phase. I wanted to be named "Crystal" I have no idea why.

However I like that my name is unique, but I'm hearing it a lot more these days :)

    Have a lovely sunday!

  5. Haha aw I totally feel how someone would want to change their name from Ashley! I definitely wish I had a different name but don't have the balls to change mine. That's why I go by SMASH when I leave comments...

  6. when i was one my mom changed my name from elena to suzy. but not officially, just by word of mouth. but it stuck, and i've been suzy ever since! so i kind of have two names. it gets confusing.

  7. I was a heartbeat away from being named Sabrina!!! and I really really realllllllllllly wish I was!!!! My mum says she would totally take me down and get my name changed, but I feel like that would cause a lot of unnecessary confusion. So I'll just silently suffer! ;)

  8. Well, I don't hate my name, but I definitely wouldn't mind a more unique name... my parents really didn't think when I was born, because I used to have a VERY common German last name and they gave me the most popular female at the time name when I was born. So, popular female name + very common last name = not very much of a unique identity. There were actually two girls with the exact first and last name at my school.

  10. My name is Sarah and I always thought it sounded a little plain - guess I wanted something more romantic. Maybe I'll take "Charlotte" instead ;)

  11. i know a dude with the name Holly...!!

I used to dislike my name as a child, because Loretta was long and often not pronounced properly, but I've grown to love it now! I like the fact very few people have my name!
