Last week we got really into doing jigsaw puzzles. A couple of years ago for Christmas De bought Tim a Country Music puzzle, and we decided to finally put it together. Two nights later, we were hooked on puzzles! Haha. Keith and I went out searching for a 3D puzzle (what we found wasn't exactly what we had in mind...) and we picked up another 1000 piece puzzle. We decided to take a photo of every finished puzzle with our hands, ha. (Okay, that was my weird idea. And no, Tim isn't missing a finger.) Then Tim & Keith came up with the idea to burn the 3D puzzle. So they did that on Saturday during Lauren's birthday party. & Keith took about 70 photos of it, ha. I think the burning was more fun than putting the puzzle together... But seriously, jigsaw puzzles are fun. & it's a lot more fun to sit around with friends working on a puzzle instead of sitting around watching TV. If you have a jigsaw puzzle lying around, get it out & work on it! It's fuuuuuun! Haha.
Today is my Bubba's birthday! Happy birthday Bubba!
(The only photo of the two of us from Christmas time, haha.) |
*I totally made up that fact...
haha liar!! ;)
ReplyDeletei used to love jigsaw puzzles...now i don't think i have the patience or attention span. i blame the internet and/or reality tv shows, my attention span is so teeny tiny now.
though a jigsaw puzzle, glass of wine and some records would be a nice night!
Haha that's pretty much what we did! Well, with beer. Tonight is game night! Wooooo! Haha.
DeleteThat looks like SO much fun!! I love puzzles =)
ReplyDeleteJust beware... if you stay up til 1:30am working on a puzzle, you might dream about it... haha!
DeleteMy grandmother got me hooked on puzzles from an early age. To celebrate our Christmas vacation, my boyfriend and I did puzzles for a week straight. And then he suggested buying more! Haha. I wish I had one as cool as your country music one.
ReplyDeleteAh, that sounds like so much fun! Next New Years (err, this new years? haha!) I would love to rent a cabin somewhere up north with a bunch of friends & just play board games and work on puzzles! So fun!
DeleteAll those faces in the country music puzzle was SO HARD. But then when we started the second one that is mostly hay/straw, we were wishing we were back on the country music one! Haha.
My boyfriend has a few puzzles he has never opened. The main problem we have is lack of appropriate jigsaw puzzling space. We really need to get a dining room table to do such things upon.
ReplyDeleteOoh, yeah you should definitely get one! If just for puzzling! (hahah) We did these puzzles at my boyfriend's sister's house, and she has three cats so when we were done for the night we just covered them in a bunch of hardcover books!
DeleteI put together so many puzzles as a little girl. I cannot wait to start doing them with Georgia. Although at this point I'm not sure she will ever have the attention span for it.
ReplyDeleteMy Grandma Shorty is a complete puzzle addict. She has one room where the walls are completely covered. Actually, now that I think of it it's more like 3 rooms. My favourite is a 70's Playboy spread in puzzle form.
Hahahaha that is awesome.
DeleteI suggested we glue the finished puzzles together, sign our names & the date completed, and hang them in the basement. Didn't go over too well, ha!
That looks like so much fun :D I miss puzzles!
ReplyDeleteIt was! We had so much fun! :)
DeleteThis looks like SO much fun!!!
ReplyDeleteWe used to put together puzzles all the time, but then slowly stopped!
Perhaps it is time to start again!! :)
Oooh you definitely should!

DeleteAlso, she spells is Baba. But, I always picture it spelled as Bubba.. soo, haha.
