On Sunday my family & I went to my Baba's house to visit her for Mother's day. I don't think I've ever posted any photos of her horses on my blog, so here are some! I tried to find a photo of me when I was younger riding horses at their old place, but I don't think any of those photos are scanned & on the computer, ha.
Down the street from my Baba's place is a farm with some sheep, so I always make sure to look at them when we drive by. This time there were a few sheep that had got out of the fence & were struggling to get back inside. We stopped & I got outside and was going to go over & help them but they just got scared. All of them but one made it back through the fence right away, and the one that was outside was so scared... luckily he made it back & was so relieved when he got back through. Man... I love sheep.
I cannot seem to loose my love for horses with the age as most girls do. These are lovely. And what a lovely day you had! Must be such a great thing to have grandparents or relatives that still have farms so you can occasionally come for visits. Makes me miss my grandma's and grandpa's little farmhouse...
ReplyDeleteI'm trying to convince her to get some sheep! Haha! I think I might have to wait until I have a farm of my own or something!
DeleteMy mams side of the family are really into horses. My granddad was a sports journalist of race horsing and my uncle trades horses and the other owns a stud farm in Ontario. Apparently they're well known in the horse-y world, but I wouldn't really know haha. I think horses are wonderful animals though, as are sheep. You'd like the west of Ireland, lots sheep chillin' on mountains and hills :)
ReplyDeleteOoh that's really cool! My Papa was a horse jockey back when he was 15!
DeleteI'd looooove to go to Ireland! One day!
This really sweet, your photos are really lovely.
ReplyDeleteAw, thanks so much!
