Bri & Tea

Papalars
My friend Bri has been living in Lake Louise for the past few years.  For those of you who don't know where or what Lake Louise is, it's this beautiful place in Alberta.   Yeah, gorgeous.  Anyway, Bri came home a few months ago for a visit & we went out for coffee (err, tea.) and hung out for a few hours.  We decided that we should become pen pals, and start working on this book that we both bought years ago.  This Book Will Change Your Life.  There are 365 "challenges" for you to do every day.  Some are really weird.  Some are kind of hilarious.  Some I can't really imagine doing.  Some are just a lot of fun.
Well, a week or so into it, Bri & I both kind of quit.  Ha.  Oh well.  We're still writing each other letters every other week or so & I get so excited when I get the mail to see a letter from her in it.  She recently went to BC with her boyfriend & said she was going to send me something.  Um, she's awesome.   She sent me all this:
Oh man, I wish you guys could taste & smell all of those teas.  They're DELICIOUS.   She sent me Lychee Congou, Moroccan Mint, Raspberry Chai, Coconut Cream Banana & Rooibos Coconut Chai.  Just the names sound delicious.  They are soooooo good.  I think if I had to pick a favourite, it would be the rooibos coconut chai.  Oh man.  So good.  And that leaf thing is a tea strainer!  How awesome is that?  I have totally got the best friends.   Thanks so much, Bri!  I love everything!

Do you guys have any pen pals?  If not you should totally get in touch with an old friend who has moved away & just start writing letters!  It's a ton of fun to send and receive mail on a regular basis.  (Or if you want, we could totally be pen pals!  Let me know!  Haha.)

  1. I', so fucking happy that you liked them. I wish I got to taste them all. I tried the mint while I was there and it was fantastic. You should look that Murchie's store up on line... if you haven't already. The amount of tea and accessories they have is crazy. I almost bought you a mug too, but I didn't want it to break in the mail and I also wanted it for myself. So I figured it would be better if neither of us had it... ahahha. Any way, I'm awaiting your letter because I'm bored and I like writing to you. I'm also pen pals with another friend now because I hate emails, and letters are awesome.

Anyway, Love the pictures Holly. Have a good one, and I hope I get your letter soon. Keep up the good posts. Maybe I'll start a blog soon too. Or just re activate my live journal.... oh man.

Maybe you'll get back into it. If you do, you should post on how that goes, haha. ;D

  9. That book looks really cool! I like the ideas you showed but I'm not sure I would be able to keep it up either. I think I'll check it out the next time I'm at a bookstore though.

I lived in Lake Louise on and off for 4 years. FOUR YEARS! Trust me that's beyond life in a village where most people only stay 4-5 months. I miss it and wish it weren't so far away. I definitely get homesick for it and definitely feel like it's home anytime I'm back there.

  10. I write letters to my best friend and my partner (they both live about 10 hours away), it's so much fun getting a letter or a parcel in the mail! So much more special than an email or a facebook message.

I am pretty jealous of those teas! I would love to hear reviews on all of them. A T2 shop (t2 is an australian tea company) is finally opening in my city, I can't wait to go in and stock up!
