Lavender Festival!

On the weekend I went to the Purple Daze Lavender Festival with my Mom & sister.  There were tons of vendors there selling all different kinds of things.  I met some people who have sheep, angora goats and angora rabbits!  So, of course I talked to them for a while, ha.  I actually bought a gift for Sophie from them, but I'll have to wait to share photos of what I got until after her birthday.   There were also people doing palm readers, painting your spirit guide (that would have been cool to get that done.  Maybe next time!) and all kinds of things.  We also picked up some lavender syrup that you add to water.  So delicious, I'm glad we got it!

Hopefully this summer I can also go to the garlic festival in Stratford and the tomato festival in Leamington!   Are there any festivals or things like that you're hoping to go to this summer?

  1. I love your blog Holly! I heard something about this festival and wanted to go, but this summer has been so busy! Have you been to Everdale Farm near Guelph? They have a Carrot Festival in September, as well as some awesome workshops. We took a beekeeping one last year, and I see they have a sheep workshop coming up on July 25!

    2. I think we only live a couple hours apart. We head up Toronto/Mississauga way occasionally, it could happen one day!
And the jelly/cheese combo was perfect! I'm going to pick up more paris toast tomorrow so we can finish the cheese before it goes bad

  3. You have a lavender festival near you?! I am eternally jealous!! Lavender is one of my wedding flowers, and it is so hard to find it wholesale in Wisconsin.

And your pictures are too beautiful. But I do have to ask, a garlic festival? I'm a bit confused, but that would be really cool to see!!

    1. Ahh that's too bad that there isn't a lavender festival or something like that around you! I guess it gives you an extra reason to travel to Provence one day! ;)

I think the garlic festival is going to have a TON of different garlic products for sale! My favourite! I'll be sure to take lots of photos when I go!

  8. Wow! that's fantastic! As far as I know, I don't have any specific fruit/flower festivals near me. In my hometown we have a Jacaranda festival, and I went to a lamb and potato festival in Guyra at the start of the year. Being a vego, it wasn't ideal haha.

    1. You should google to see if there are any around you! I had no idea about the tomato festival until I looked it up, or the carrot one until Laura told me about it! So many great things, haha.

Ahhh a lamb festival! Not the type I was imagining... I was thinking they were to pet... :( haha.
