A Peek at My Week... 10!

On Friday Keith, De, Tim & I went to Jesse & Lauren's for pizza and to hang out with this sweet girl.  I always take so many photos of her & have a hard time narrowing it down when I post them, haha.  She is just toooooo adorable!
I've been juicing up a stooooooooorm.  & loving it.
On Saturday night Keith and I went to Bryon's house to hang out with Brookle, Alex, Tessier & Skylar.  And a few shots of some cheap tequila Bryon picked up in the States might have been consumed... haha.   And we were totally drinking Sunny D, ha!
On Sunday we went to meet my Uncle Scott's new puppy Dudley.  He is soooooo sweet & cute!  Only 10 weeks old!  Ahhh...  and he's so good!  I love him, haha.  And my Uncle Scott gave me an awesome film camera and a few lenses, I'll post about that soon!
This sweet girl is still the best, though!
I've been living off these sandwiches all week... well, for lunch.  SO GOOD.  We were out of cherry tomatoes, though... but it's some mayo, avocado & red onion with salt & pepper.  And I just realized I totally forgot to add honey mustard!  AH. It's also good with some jalapeno havarti, too.
I mostly took these photos on Friday to Monday, haha.  I've been doing a ton of crocheting lately!  Those photos will be uploaded soon... and lots of reading.  I think I've read 9 books this month?  I'll post about that soon, too... ha!  This weekend should be a good one... Saturday night is Tessier's birthday so we will be hanging out with all of those guys again.  Also I've been looking into doing a juice cleanse now that I've got a juicer... so I'm sure I'll be looking up a ton of juicing recipes!  What are you up to this weekend?  Did you do anything exciting this week?

Adventures in Juicing!

Last week I started juicing and I'm LOVING it!  I went and stocked up on apples, oranges, grapes, pineapple, strawberries & pears.  So far I haven't juiced and veggies, but I plan to very soon.  I thought it would be fun to document all of the juices that I've made on the blog... and since I love the movie "Adventures in Babysitting"... I figured I would call it "Adventures in Juicing"!  Haha.  So I'm going to be sharing my recipes and thoughts on things I've juiced, plus some of the benefits that the various fruits & veggies give you.  Do any of you guys juice?  What are some of your favourite recipes?

This juice was just one pear and a couple handfuls of grapes.  Totally simple.  And pretty delicious.  As you can see it didn't make a whole lot, but it was enough for me.  (Also, forgive the bad photos... I made it pretty late at night, haha.)

Pears contain pectin, a soluble fiber, which helps the body to eliminate cholesterol and also protects against environmental toxins.  Pear juice has high levels of antioxidants, as well as glutathione, which will help guard against high blood pressure and stroke.  They are high in nutrients, containing vitamins A, B1 and 2, C, E, folic acid, niacin, copper, phosphorus and potassium.  Along with that, they are a great source of natural energy.

Goldfish are Considered Good Luck Charms*

A little while ago I won a giveaway on Casee Marie's blog and since this year I've been taking photos of everything I've received in the mail (haha I am really trying to take a LOT more photos this year!  Could you tell?!) I thought I would take photos of the things I won!  The purse is sooo nice & soft and I'm loving the scarf.  Thanks again, Casee!

Right now there are two awesome giveaways going on.  The first is for ad space on my blog, and the second is on Veronika's blog Girl & Closet!  You can win a 25$ gift card for my shop!  Be sure to check them both out.

*About the title:
During the 1620s, it became a tradition in Southern Europe for married men to give their wives a goldfish on their one year anniversary. It was believed that goldfish signify good luck and fortune; therefore, doing so will bless the couple with more prosperous years to come.

Ch-ch-check it!

So I kind of meant to do this on my post on Saturday, but of course I forgot... haha.  SO.  I am offering sponsors on my blog in April & I wanna give one (or maybe two?!) of you the chance to do it for free!  Not that I charge much at all to sponsor... but hey, free stuff is fun!  Right?  haha.

Here is how to enter!
Super easy!  Do one or any of those things!  Aaaaaand I will announce the winner on Saturday!

Giveaway is closed!  Everyone who entered won!

Sydenham Falls

(haha my hand was a little shaky for a bit...) Keith & I went waterfalling (ha I don't know why I call it that...) last week.  Then I had the great idea to try and go to all 100 or so waterfalls in Hamilton area.  Hamilton is the waterfall capital of the world!   Think we can go to all 100 this year?  haha.  I mean it's only March and we've already gone to two... well, I guess Sydenham Falls consists of 3 different waterfalls, Lower, Middle & Upper.  So, we've gone to 4 this year, ha.  Anyway, we went on a super nice day and we only ran into two other people when we first got there, and they were leaving.  So it was nice to have the whole place to ourselves.  I love that we can drive for 20ish minutes and end up at so many different waterfalls.  And Keith seems to know where the majority of them are already, ha!   Are there any places like this near you?

Christmas at my Bubba's house!
Aaaaaaand we ended the year on New Years at Tim & De's house!
Overall, a pretty awesome year!  I'm glad that I'm taking so many more photos this year, because near the end of last year I kind of did a recap and made a book of everything I did.  I'm hoping to continue doing that every year (sort of like a year book, ha.) so that I don't have to sit at the computer to look my photos & things that I did.  Also, this year I'm trying to take a lot more group photos!  Because they're a blast to look at, haha.  Especially with my friends, haha because, I mean... look at them!  We all have such an awesome time together.
