(Thanks to everyone for all of the nice thoughts about Keith. He's doing better, but he's got to rest for the next little while to let his brain heal completely. It's been nice having a little break from blogging, but I think I'm going to start again this week.)

It's probably going to be a little quiet around here for the next little while. On Thursday I'm planning on going to Florida for a week, I was going to get some posts scheduled for while I was away (and maybe write one or two while I was there), but I'm really just not feeling up to it anymore. Keith got into an accident on the weekend and he hurt his head pretty badly. He's on bed rest for at least the next six weeks. So if I'm a bit quiet in the blog-world, you'll understand why.

Went to Garlic Festival!
We went out for lunch afterwards. Good pizza, okay beer, TERRIBLE service. Will never go back there (although I can count the times I've gone to Stratford on one hand, so that won't be a problem... haha.)
I can never drink enough tea.
Got a beautiful package in the mail!
Bryon had a fire at his house. We always have so much fun when we get together.
Started my new course!
I got some pretty new cards that I can't wait to send my pen pals! Now, to sit down and WRITE.
This week was pretty good. Had a hilarious time at Bryon's house (I always seem to wake up with a sore stomach the next day from laughing so hard.) on Friday night. Started my new class, medical terminology. I have to learn and memorize strange & long words, such as "hysterosalpingoophorectomy". Any tips for memorizing words, FAST? haha! I have flash cards, that I think will become my new best friend over the new couple of months...
Lately I've been pretty tired, so I haven't felt like doing a whole lot. I've been out of some vitamins for a little while & they really do make all the difference. For me, at least. But now they're back & I started taking some new vitamins, so hopefully my energy levels will go up soon. Any tips on feeling more energized? I could use 'em!
Hope you guys have a great weekend! What are you up to? Anything exciting?

These photos are from when my Mom & I went to Glenhyrst for afternoon tea. I couldn't help taking a ton photos of the outside, everything is just so pretty. I really loved that well that was right out front. & did you notice the "knitting graffiti" on that bike? All of the posts along the fence are painted with different names, I think the kids that went to camp here painted them. The last photo is the spot where we had our tea. It was really the perfect day for tea, overcast & rainy, not too warm, and we had the entire place to ourselves! I can't wait to go out for afternoon tea again... now to find a new place to try out!

Okay, I think I have a few... buying books, reading, buying yarn, knitting, crocheting, buying tea, drinking tea, talking about tea... I wanted to talk about the last three, though. Tea. More specifically, DavidsTea. I've blogged about DavidsTea a few times. I just can't stop ordering from them. Someone's birthday? Perfect, I'll order some stuff from Davids! Something new came out? Oh man, well I've gotta try it... Haven't got anything in the mail lately? Well... you know DavidsTea delivers in two to three days... Run out of one of my favourite teas? I have to order more from DavidsTea! & while I'm at it I might as well try a few new kinds...
hahaha it's bad! But so good. This order was for Keith's Mom's birthday. With a couple things thrown in for myself, of course... I can't help it, ha! I should really take a photo of my collection right now... My favourites right now? Lime gelato, cinnamon rooibos chai, forever nuts and blueberry jam.
Also, the other day I received a beautiful package in the mail from Alyx from Promised Land Jewelry. The packaging was so beautiful, she paid so much attention to every little detail. She has her branding down pat. I think I need to take some tips from her, ha! I almost didn't want to open it because it was so pretty, haha. It really felt like it was my birthday while I was opening everything. And the jewelry pieces are so beautiful! I don't want to take them off. I highly recommend checking out & ordering from her shop! If you want to learn more about Alyx and her shop, check out the post I did about her a little while ago. Thanks so much Alyx!
Have you ordered anything online lately? Do you like tea? (Then you must try Davids! Haha.)

On Sunday my Mom, sister & I headed to Stratford for the Garlic Festival. It was pretty good, I think we were hoping for more garlic based foods, though. There were a lot of different types of garlic for sale, and garlic dips/spreads, but I think I was expecting more things. Like weird things, garlic ice cream, maybe? Haha. Anyway, it was good, and those garlic shots were... interesting. Garlic, a squeeze of lemon and club soda. Would have been better if they were alcoholic, ha! We did pick up some garlic tea, though! That will be interesting to try. Vanilla garlic black tea and vanilla garlic rooibos. Hmmm... ha! We had to try it. Also, we luckily didn't get any rain while we were there. The sky was really cloudy and black, as you can see, and I think they got rained out on the Saturday. We probably won't go back (the drive to Stratford is realllllllly long and boring...), but I'm glad we did go to check it out. Have you gone to any different festivals this summer?
Tonight is my first night at a new class... and then Sons of Anarchy is back on!! I'm so pumped. I love that show. Do you watch it?
