Books & letters

This year I'm going to set two of the same goals that I set last year: read at least 52 books & write at least 100 letters.    I reached my goal of 52 books for 2012, but I fell super short on the letter writing goal.  Today is the 8th and so far I have already sent out 10 letters.  (Okay, they're postcards.  And one of them is to me & Keith, but it still counts to me.)  I want to send out birthday cards to my far away friends this year.  I received a few Christmas & birthday cards from some blog friends and it just made my day/week/birthday/Christmas/ha.   So I want to be sure to make others feel the way that I felt.   It's such a simple way to put a smile on someone's face.

A Flood of Memories

  1. Oh, I love this so much! Letters in the mail are the best!

  2. Love the idea! I admire the people who keep letter-sending alive, it's so easy to resort to emails and Facebook these days. Are those Canadian Air mail envelopes? I received a letter in one once and thought the envelopes were so cute and french looking :)

  4. Oh, I adore the idea of writing 100 letters in a year! There's nothing quite as delightful as pretty stationery in the mailbox.
