Pillow Land

Ignore the red yarn at the bottom.  When I took these photos I didn't have the buttons sewn on yet, so I used a piece of yarn to keep it together.
I've been making crocheted pillows lately.  I think they're my new favourite thing to make.  There are so many different colour combinations, and I just love the way that they look hanging out on the couch.  This was the first one that I made, and I think I'm going to do more with just the little squares on both sides.  It might take a little bit longer, but I like the way it looks in the end.

Here are a couple other photos of my new favourite colour combination. (And little Squirty helping me out, ha.)
Do you have any suggestions for colour combinations I should try?  I'm excited to get a bunch of different pillows made & start listing them in my Etsy shop!

  1. These look terrific Holly!! I love all the colors and Squirt is darling (as always!) xo

  2. Wow, Holly, those are some great designs! The color combinations look awesome, too -- maybe a mix of neutrals with a pop of neon could be fun.

  3. I was totally going to say that you NEED to sell these in your shop, haha. they're beautiful! Making me extra jealous that i can't crochet :P
I think bright pink and yellow would be cute. or light blue and cream. or purple and white.
If you do sell them in your shop, you should sell them as the covers only, and the buyer needs to get their own pillow form. it would save money for everyone involved.
another suggestion: check out the ikea pillow forms. there are a few sizes, maybe have covers available in those sizes? most people have access to an ikea, or can order form them online.
good luck and keep on creating!

  4. Ooh...these are so lovely!! :) I love the little star pattern in the corners where the squares join - gorgeous! I like the colors you have goin on in the bottom photo, too...

  5. You are so talented. I love these! color combinations?

dark purple, cream and light blue.

  6. This are great, I'm always so in awe of people who are talented with their hands!
